Stained Glass Repair & Restoration

These are some of the latest #stained glass restoration and repair works the studio has just completed.

This Edwardian two panel front door in #Bromsgrove, #Worcestershire has just been re-fitted.

A 1930’s stained glass side screen with several breaks needed part restoration and rebuild in #Stourbridge.

This wonderful #Edwardian stained glass front door entrance in #Wombourne, Staffordshire has been restored using heritage glass and stock art glasses.

Our workshop offers a full repair and restoration service of stained glass, leaded lights, doors and windows. We work with residential, commercial and ecclesiastic properties and can repair a single break within a window to a full restoration of heritage stained glass panels.

Glass designer & maker Paul Floyd will lead afternoon sessions on glass fusing. The intermediate/advanced workshop will allow you to explore the techniques of fused glass as a creative medium.  Within the workshop you will build on your skills with cutting glass to a pattern and working with coloured sheet glass, frits and powders.

You will create an original piece of glasswork and can make either a panel 15cm x 30cm or a medium-sized round/square bowl 20cm diameter.  Only 4 people per workshop for maximum individual attention.

Glass Course – 8 Weeks – Start: 17/04/2018

Glass Course: Day Class

Glass designer & maker Paul Floyd will lead open classes in glass making.  The course has been set-up to enable intermediate and advanced students to work on either a stained glass panel or a series of fused glass projects of their own design.  Students should have completed either a beginners stained glass workshop or a beginners fused glass workskop previously and would like to build on their previous skills, knowledge and creativity.  Paul Floyd will offer guidance with your projects in a friendly and supportive workshop.

This is a flexible course and if 8 weeks is too long for your project, then a minimum block of 4 weeks can also be booked.  All hand tools are provided for the course.

Materials & Kiln-Firing Costs are extra and can be discussed prior to start of course.  A Typical example of materials & kiln-firing costs: Stained Glass Panel – 35cm x 35cm = £25 and Fused Glass Panel – 30cm x 30cm = £25.  The kiln can also be hired by arrangement for additional firings and extra materials bought as and when needed.

Only 4 people per workshop for maximum individual attention.

Aprons will be provided, please wear older clothes and no open-toe shoes.  If this course involves working with lead, unfortunately we recommend that pregnant & nursing mothers do not attend.
