Glass designer & maker Paul Floyd will lead afternoon sessions on glass fusing. The intermediate/advanced workshops will allow you to explore the techniques of fused glass as a creative medium. Within the workshop you will build on your skills with cutting glass to a pattern and working with coloured sheet glass, frits and powders. We have a selection of designs available for you to choose, but we also encourage you to bring your own design/pattern or inspiration to these more advanced classes.
You will create an original piece of glasswork and can make either a 20cm square panel, a 15cm x 30cm landscape panel that can be formed into a freestanding glass piece or a medium-sized round/square bowl 20cm diameter. Your glasswork will be fused and formed into a shape and available for collection a week later. Postage can be arranged for your glasswork for an extra charge to cover P&P. Only 4 people per workshop for maximum individual attention.
Please note: These intermediate/advanced workshops are for people who have previously attended the taster workshop or have previous experience in glass fusing and would like to further explore fused glass as a creative medium.
