Glass Fusing Workshop (Intermediate Level) – 25/04/2026

Glass Fusing Workshop (Intermediate to Advanced) on the 25th April 2026

Glass designer & maker Paul Floyd will lead a morning session on glass fusing. The intermediate/advanced workshops will allow you to explore the techniques of fused glass as a creative medium. Within the workshop you will build on your skills with cutting glass to a pattern and working with coloured sheet glass, frits, pebbles and stringers.

We have a selection of designs available for you to choose, but we also encourage you to bring your own design/pattern or inspiration to these more advanced classes.

You will create an original piece of glasswork.  Depending on your level of experience, you can choose to make either a 15cm square or 20cm square panel, which can be kiln-formed into a square platter bowl.  Or a 15 x 26cm landscape panel that can be formed into a freestanding fused glass artwork.

Your glasswork will be fused and formed into a shape and available for collection one to two weeks later.  Postage can be arranged for your glasswork for an extra charge to cover P&P.  Only 4 people per workshop for maximum individual attention.

  • Date: Saturday 25th April 2026
  • Time: 10am till 1pm
  • Costs: £65 (includes all materials and fusing)
  • Venue: Transparent Glass Studio, Ruskin Glass Centre, Wollaston Road, Stourbridge, DY8 4HE

Please note: These intermediate/advanced workshops are for people who have previously attended the taster Beginners workshop or have previous experience in glass fusing and would like to further explore fused glass as a creative medium.
